2009. How time flies....

4 months since I last posted something. 

December 2009. The whole family (paternal side) decided to spend Christmas at the hospital with our grandma. She has been there for the past 6-7 months, one month in the ICU. Everybody was prepared for the worst... but she fought through it. After countless blood transfusions, dialysis and a tracheostomy, she fought. But on the morning of December 19, 2009, with everybody else going about their daily lives and preparing for Christmas eve... she finally left us.

With her parting, we all felt what FAMILY really is. Even through the darkest days, the countless family issues and misunderstandings, in the end we we're a FAMILY. We didn't even care that that person have hurt each and everyone of us in a way, but in the end, all we wanted was for Ima to be happy, to be at peace.

As we start 2010, I hope that the FAMILY we had rediscovered will stay the same.
